He who assures that the crisis made him famous because, besides being funny, he was cheaper, has in a very short time achieved a success that many would envy. It is about the Barcelonan David Callejón, better known as David Guapo, who began his comedic career when, during his career as a musician and singer and at the concerts he offered in some pubs in Catalonia and the city of San Francisco, he was forced to make funny comments to capture the audience’s attention.

He seemed to have so much charm that, after participating in various monologue contests, Berto Romero discovered him in 2008 and gave him the opportunity to debut by collaborating that summer on the program 'Buenafuente'. From there, it was all successes: he has been able to participate in 'El club de la comedia', 'Se lo que hicisteis...', 'El Hormiguero' and 'La mañana' on COPE.

Without ceasing to triumph, Guapo, a name he says he chose because in Barcelona venues he was called "the handsome guy", besides being a humorist is an expert in improvisation, both in monologues —something the audience possibly doesn’t even notice— and when inventing song lyrics.

David Guapo, who prefers to be considered a comic because he does more dialogues than monologues, currently tours theaters and halls throughout the country filling seats, from where he constantly recommends laughing and not letting oneself be infected by the mood of a crisis, economic or of any kind, because every era has its difficulties and they must be faced in the best possible way.
