Who we are
News and analysis in Catalan, with judgment and a touch of irony to digest the present. We focus locally (Tarragona and Camp) and look to the world. Zero posturing; maximum clarity.
A laboratory born from crisis
Modernet Digital was not born as a conventional media outlet. It emerged as an SEO experiments and automated journalism laboratory in the midst of the rise of artificial intelligence.
The reality is harsh: with the arrival of AI, digital media have lost up to 50% of their organic traffic on Google. Some have already had to close. The survival of local media increasingly depends on traffic from Google Discover and the ability to quickly adapt to the new rules of the digital game.
We are a team of SEOs specialized in digital media. Modernet is our testing ground: here we automate tasks such as rewriting press releases, creating evergreen and Discover content, and test new strategies before implementing them in the digital media we work with. Everything we learn here we openly share to help newsrooms survive in this new digital era.
Our conviction is clear: AI has not come to replace the journalist, it has come to free them from mechanical and repetitive tasks so they can spend more time doing true journalism.
We share what we learn
The knowledge generated at Modernet Digital is not exclusive to us. We share it with the journalism industry through congresses and professional events, with the sole intention of helping newsrooms adapt to the new digital era.

What we do
We explore local economy, technology, and culture with judgment. We explain what happens, why it happens, and how it affects you, prioritizing verifiable data over opinions. We cover Tarragona and Camp de Tarragona, without losing sight of what happens in the rest of the world.
