Lectures and dialogues on art and Europe
On Monday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m., the Hortensi Güell Room hosts the lecture “Verdi’s La Traviata” by Meritxell Tena, an event organized by the Opera Catalunya Foundation that brings opera closer to attendees.
A little later, at 7:00 p.m., in the Emili Argilaga Room and in virtual format, the dialogue “40 Years of Accession to the European Union: An Assessment” takes place between Xavier Prats Monné, an expert in European affairs, and Griselda Pastor, correspondent for Cadena SER in Brussels.
Reus as an innovative city and local heritage
On Tuesday the 5th, at 7:00 p.m., the same room and format host the lecture “Conversations of Local Interest: Reus, an Innovative City”, with Cristina Casamitjana, director of the Centre d’Estudis Superiors de l’Aviació (CESDA), who talks about the city’s challenges and dreams.
On Thursday the 7th, at the Rosa Magrané Room at 7:00 p.m., Josep Gironès offers the lecture “The Art of Dry Stone Throughout History”, a fascinating look at this deeply rooted building technique.

Saturday, May 9 schedule
Saturday stands out with the 79th National Rose Exhibition Competition. The hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and at the Theatre Square you can visit The Rose Market with a gastronomic tasting until 8:00 p.m.
At 12:30 p.m., the jury verdict and awards ceremony take place in the Emili Argilaga Room. Additionally, at 1:45 p.m., the Bartrina Theatre hosts a performance by the Centre de Lectura Music School.
Workshop and special route for nature lovers
At 6:00 p.m., in the Ramon Amigó Room, an ikebana workshop is held by Marta Ferré. Prior registration is required, and the cost is €7 for members and €10 for non-members.
Immediately after, at 6:30 p.m., Espais Ocults offers the route “Roses that Endure”, an opportunity to discover the city’s secrets and stories related to roses.

Guided visit and rose route
On Sunday, the competition continues with hours from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. At 10:00 a.m., Xavier Lladó leads a visit to the Joaquima Gallisà Rose Garden.
At 12:00 p.m., the route “Roses that Endure” returns, a must for enjoying nature and local culture.
Practical demonstration with free entry
At 6:00 p.m., in the Ramon Amigó Room, Dolors Juan Gutiérrez and Núria Robert offer a practical demonstration titled “How to Give More Than One Life to a Floral Composition”. The activity is free and open to everyone.
