More than 3 million overnight stays in tourist accommodations have been recorded between January and April. This 10.23% increase clearly shows that the area attracts more visitors than ever.

The official data from Eurecat’s Tourism Data System confirm this rise in Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre during the first four months of 2026. The growth comes from various markets and consolidates local tourism activity.

All major source markets show positive trends. The Irish market leads the rise with 16.72% more overnight stays, followed by the Netherlands with an increase of 15.37%.

Spanish and French markets

Overnight stays from the Spanish market rise by 9.09%. The French market also grows, with 8.80% more, reinforcing the importance of these visitors to the local sector.

British, German, and Belgian markets

British visitors increase by 7.61%, Germans by 7.04%, and Belgians by 2.33%. This reflects solid and diverse demand in Terres de l’Ebre and Camp de Tarragona.
