The 43rd Night of Awards of Valls, which will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, is not just a gala: it is the stage where the cultural, social, and economic richness of the territory is celebrated with 24 awards distributed across 16 categories.

This established event at the Municipal Cultural Center of Valls especially highlights cultural and heritage initiatives that keep alive the essence of Valls and the Alt Camp region. With the presence of local representatives and key entities, the night promises to be a celebration to acknowledge a job well done.

Cultural and heritage awards at the night of Valls

Awards for safeguarding heritage and history

Among the 16 awards being called for, the recognition for safeguarding cultural and architectural heritage stands out. Thus, Daniel Maria Segú Roca and the Alt Camp Regional Tourism Service with the initiative “Xala l’Alt Camp” have been honored for their contribution to keeping local heritage alive.

Also awarded with the 41st Award for the Safeguarding of Architectural Heritage is the collaboration between CB Germans Galofré Mercadé and the Catalan Agency for Cultural Heritage, which highlights the most emblematic heritage elements of the region.

Awards for historical research and journalism

The history of Valls has been brought to the forefront with the project Secrets of a 19th-century gilded painter from Valls, awarded the XXCIII Rodon-Giró historical research prize. This initiative, driven by local professionals, sheds light on the local artistic tradition.

Regarding journalism, the Setmanari el Vallenc has received the XL Cristina Requena Giró Award, a recognition promoted by the Ciutat de Valls Foundation that represents the importance of rigorous and committed information regarding Valls' reality.

In this sense, the XIII Isidre Rabassó Award for casteller identity has recognized the careers of Francesc Xavier Orriols Sendra and Francesca Roig Galceran, while the XXXI Joan Ventura i Solé Award for casteller journalism went to Josep Torreño Domínguez.
