URV’s position in the CYD ranking

Overall ranking and competing universities

The URV is the tenth best university in the country and the seventh among public universities. This list, which includes 48 public and 36 private universities, is topped by institutions such as the University of Navarra, Carlos III of Madrid, Pompeu Fabra, and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.

This edition evaluates a wide range of fields, including new ones like Environmental Sciences and Engineering, and updates results in traditional fields such as Business Administration, Economics, Law, and Journalism. The URV holds its own in a competitive university environment.

Indicators and performance by dimensions

The ranking uses 36 indicators to measure performance in teaching, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation, and regional impact. The URV stands out especially in knowledge transfer, where it shares leadership with universities like Carlos III of Madrid and the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Additionally, it ranks second in the dimension of contribution to regional development, alongside prestigious institutions such as the Autonomous University of Barcelona or the University of Valencia-General Studies.

Key factors of URV’s success

Knowledge transfer and connection with businesses

The URV not only trains professionals; it connects academia with the business and social environment. This partnership allows more than 2,000 students to access diverse internships and facilitates that 70% of graduates find work within three months.

This effective transfer is one of the keys to success in the ranking and the difference from other universities, which fall far behind in this dimension.

International vocation and teaching experience

According to the CYD Foundation, the URV is young, dynamic, and oriented toward internationalization. Personalized support and practical teaching are strong points that attract students and facilitate their employment insertion.

This broad and flexible educational offer adds mobility and connection with the local business fabric, factors that enhance its reputation.

Context and data of the CYD ranking

Scope and methodology

The CYD ranking analyzes 100% of public universities and 75% of private universities in the country, making it a reliable and highly representative gauge.

The data comes from official reports and covers aspects such as teaching quality, research, transfer, international projection, and regional impact, with 36 indicators that measure each area in detail.

Notable positions and novelties

Besides the URV, universities such as Carlos III of Madrid or Pompeu Fabra maintain privileged positions. The inclusion of new fields, like Environmental Engineering, shows the willingness to adapt the ranking to current challenges.

Thus, the URV consolidates its image as a university that not only trains talent but also engages in the development of the territory and society.

The reality is that the URV seems to know exactly where to get it right.
