Carmencita inaugurates new logistics warehouse in Elche with Mercadona and McDonald's
At a time when the supply chain is key to gastronomy and distribution, Carmencita decides to make a leap that captures the sector's attention. It is not just another spice on the shelf, but a player aspiring to lead specialty logistics in Europe.
The new facilities in the Elx Industrial Park, with 10,500 square meters, are not just a warehouse. They are the spearhead of a transformation that affects both Mercadona and McDonald's, two giants that depend on the precision and efficiency of their supplier.
Carmencita and the new logistics era
Located at number 17 Narcís Monturiol street, Carmencita’s plant represents a radical change in the management of its operations. The company, with more than a century of history, has announced that this center aims to become the largest spice center in Europe, an ambitious goal but with solid foundations.
Process improvement and efficiency
The new platform seeks to streamline logistics, strengthen process control, and respond more efficiently to its clients' demands. This entails centralizing operations to increase coordination and traceability, two critical factors in a sector where quality and punctuality are essential.
Implementation phases during 2026
The project started on April 14 with the incorporation of logistics managers and staff training. The relocation and integration of tasks will take place in phases: during May it will take over the activity currently carried out in Novelda, including the Hacendado line, progressively assuming the management of raw materials and, finally, the finished product.
The role of Carmencita in the supply chain
Clientele and strategic collaborations
In addition to being the main spice supplier for Mercadona, Carmencita has expanded its portfolio with McDonald's, supplying exclusive seasonings such as the 'McShaker', which has even featured successful campaigns associated with TV series like Stranger Things.
Resilience and adaptation in distribution
According to internal sources, this new, more solid and agile logistics infrastructure seeks to simplify the chain, unify processes, and guarantee better coordination in inventories, orders, and merchandise movements. This commitment to continuous improvement is the response to a market that allows no margin for error, especially when dealing with demanding clients such as large supermarkets and fast-food franchises.
Impact and future outlook
Growth and centralization strategy
The progressive implementation of Carmencita’s logistics plant represents a bet on a more centralized and organized model, capable of assuming various phases of the supply chain. This centralization will facilitate a better response capacity to changes and higher quality in the service.
A base ready for the future
The new plant is born with the intention of becoming a strategic axis that not only improves the company's overall efficiency but also consolidates its position as one of the sector's main suppliers, with logistics prepared to sustain and boost its long-term growth.
With this move, Jesús Navarro SA strengthens its market presence and its commitment to operational excellence, a move that will undoubtedly improve service both to Mercadona and McDonald's, and that will set a trend in the industry.
