The Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC) will have a new headquarters in Tarragona by 2029 thanks to an investment of 6.3 million euros. The rehabilitation of Warehouse 6 of the Tabacalera will expand the research space to 3,122 square meters, more than double the current one.
The work to adapt the four-story building is in the final phase of the project and will begin at the start of 2027, with the move planned for autumn 2029. This new stage represents a leap in quality for ICAC and the city.
