Anton Borrell Mayor’s Square will become a large urban basketball court from July 3 to 8. An event that combines high-level sports, amateur competition, and open activities for the city.

The tournament is part of the Reus Capital of Women's Basketball program and is coordinated by the Reus City Council in collaboration with local clubs and the company Bounce.

The tournament and its categories

The official competition on July 4 and 5

On July 4 and 5, the official tournament will take place structured into three categories. The most prominent, Lite Quest, represents the male entry point to the official 3x3 circuit and is also a qualifier for the Singapore Challenger. The winning team will receive a prize that very few tournaments in Catalonia offer: flights to compete in a stop of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.

Pro Women’s and Amateur: high-level basketball open to everyone

The Pro Women’s tournament brings together elite national players, with prizes of 1,500 and 500 euros for first and second place. Simultaneously, the Amateur tournament is open to all citizens who want to experience 3x3 from within, sharing the court with professionals.

The setup and parallel activity at the square

A double court right in the center of Reus

Anton Borrell Mayor’s Square will be transformed into a large double court, a space that will not only host matches but will create a vibrant atmosphere with music, entertainment, and a food area. This will turn the square into the sports and festive meeting point during the weekend.

Open activities after the competition

On July 6, 7, and 8, the courts will remain active for activities with local clubs and sports camps. The idea is that the court is not only for professionals but that children, youth, and fans can play and share experiences.

Broadcasts and media impact

Streaming with an international audience

The professional competition will be broadcast live on the official FIBA 3x3 channel, with an audience worldwide. Additionally, Sunday’s Amateur tournament will be available to follow via streaming with the same audiovisual quality, a rare initiative that broadens the project’s reach.

A boost for women’s basketball and the city

With this initiative, Reus reaffirms its commitment to being the capital of women’s basketball and sport as a tool for promotion and citizen participation. The City Council encourages teams and fans to save the dates and enjoy the sporting atmosphere at the square.

Registrations are already open and can be completed through the codetickets platform.

Reus once again places itself at the center of Catalan basketball with a court that will leave no one indifferent.
