Montblanc is bringing back guided night tours in French this summer during the months of July and August. The Tourism Office reopens the routes that allow you to discover the local heritage with a different perspective: at night and in French.
If you are one of those who look for original plans to enjoy history, you might be interested to know what the most authentic medieval town in the Conca de Barberà offers this summer.
In Montblanc, at the Tourism Office, guided tours will be offered from the second half of July until the end of August. Every day at 11 a.m. you can take the monumental tour in Catalan, and in August also in Spanish, starting fifteen minutes earlier. On Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. there will be a guided tour in French, and on Fridays at 9 p.m. the night tour returns, which is a summer classic.
Reservations must be made at www.montblancmedieval.cat. The general price is €10 for those over 14 years; the reduced rate, €8, applies in various cases, and children under 13 can participate for free. So, if you are traveling with family or friends, you already know how to secure your spot.
For four years now, Montblanc has also offered self-guided tours designed for families with children. There are two scavenger hunts: Explore Montblanc at your own pace! for children between 5 and 8 years old and Discover the impostor of Montblanc, aimed at those aged 9 to 12. These options are available in Catalan, Spanish, French, and English, making fun accessible for everyone.
You can also take a free visit to the wall, starting at the Sant Francesc tower. You can walk along a wide section of the round walk and climb to the top of three towers. The schedule is Wednesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and holidays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is €3 for those over 14 years, while minors access it for free.
In the last three summers, intense heat has reduced the number of visitors coming from the coast, where most are staying. When it is cloudier, tourists are encouraged to discover the interior, which causes a concentration of visits especially in the first twenty days of August. This phenomenon conditions Montblanc’s tourist season and reflects the close relationship between climate and tourist movement.
The Conca de Barberà does not have a very wide accommodation offer, and this limits the presence of tourists who stay directly there. However, Montblanc maintains a specific appeal for those who seek cultural experiences and guided tours that allow them to learn the town’s history and legends.
The guided night tours in French are a clear bet to attract this type of more selective and cultural tourism, seeking original and quality experiences.
Book now and experience Montblanc like never before, at night and in French. The medieval town awaits you with its streets full of history, mystery, and experiences for all ages.
