Guided tour of the Valls Airfield
The activities related to the concepts of war and conflict continue, also adding that of heritage, and we now propose a visit to the Civil War Airfield, located between Valls and Alió, guided by the historian and president of the IEV Francesc Murillo Galimany.
Where does this initiative come from?
Objectives
This trip is part of a cycle of activities that the Institut d'Estudis Vallencs has organized in reference to wars and conflicts. A guided tour was made of the Tiles of the Capella del Roser de Valls, which represent the Battle of Lepanto. A visit was also made to the Pont de Goi, to learn about the Battle of Valls, against the Napoleonic troops. All the activities were carried out by the historian and president of the Institut d'Estudis Vallencs, Francesc Murillo Galimany.
Heritage and local culture
In the case of war conflicts, they have also left us with an artistic, architectural, historical and archaeological heritage that must be preserved for the Historical Memory.
