There are things that still aren’t spoken about out loud. Like menstruation, for example. In Amposta, this changes for five days that aim to uncover taboos and speak openly about the menstrual cycle, without filters or shame.

From May 21 to 25, the Women’s Space becomes the meeting point for around ten activities that will cover all stages of the menstrual cycle. And yes, they include everything from the first period to menopause.

Objectives and organization of the event

The Women’s Space, epicenter of the debate

The epicenter of the fifth edition of the Menstrual Culture Days is Amposta’s Women’s Space. This is where all the activities are concentrated, which, organized jointly by the City Council and Casa de Luna, aim to break the taboos that still surround menstruation and its different phases.

A transversal and unfiltered perspective

Councilwoman Núria Ferré does not hide it: there is still a way to go to normalize menstruation. That’s why she proposes to approach it from health, well-being, science, and feminism, with a freer and more conscious outlook.
