Organitzada en col·laboració amb la Diputació de Tarragona, aquesta mostra és una cita que els amants de l'art i la història no es poden perdre. Amb 50 obres de 15 artistes destacats, s'obre una finestra única a l'art i la identitat de la Mediterrània.

Obres i artistes presents

L'exposició compta amb 50 peces que daten entre finals del segle XIX i mitjans del XX. Destaca la presència de noms com Joaquín Sorolla, amb una de les seves obres més inèdites cedida pel Museu de Reus, així com Aristides Maillol, Ramon Martí, Arcadi Mas, Joan Roig i altres artistes com Ricard J. Estivill, José Nogué i Baldomer Galofre.

També s'hi poden veure treballs de Jaume Mercadé, Joaquim Mir, Olga N. Sacharoff, Domènec Carles, Josep Sancho, Eliseu Meifrèn i pintures del vila-secà Jordi Sarrà, que tanca la proposta amb una mirada local molt especial.

Objectiu i estructura de la mostra

El projecte vol reivindicar el Mediterrani com a espai de connexió i inspiració cultural. El comissari, Damià Amorós, explica que la mostra convida a redescobrir el Mediterrani més enllà del paisatge, com a experiència emocional i històrica.

L'exposició està dividida en quatre àmbits temàtics: Mirada a la llum, amb set obres centrades en la llum mediterrània; Presència Mediterrània, que explora la relació entre cultura i paisatge; Terra i Mar, dedicat a Jaume Mercadé; i Mirada Vila-secana, amb obres que fusionen la Mediterrània amb l'entorn local.

Horari d'hivern i estiu

Fins al 15 de juny i a partir del 14 de setembre, el Castell obre de dimarts a diumenge i festius de 10.00 a 14.00 h, amb horari ampli els dissabtes a la tarda, de 17.00 a 20.00 h.

Durant l'estiu, del 16 de juny al 14 de setembre, les visites són de 10.00 a 14.00 h i de 18.00 a 21.00 h cada dia de la setmana.

Visites guiades i reserves

Les visites guiades es fan en català i castellà en diferents dies i horaris: els diumenges a les 12.00 h en català i dissabtes a les 12.00 h en castellà durant l'hivern; i a l'estiu, els dimecres i dissabtes a la tarda i diumenges al matí, amb diferents horaris segons l'idioma.

Impacte cultural i turístic de l'exposició a Vila-seca

Un projecte que ja celebra 6 anys

La mostra coincideix amb el sisè aniversari de l'aposta cultural del Castell de Vila-seca, que ha esdevingut un punt de referència per a la cultura a la demarcació. Amb aquesta exposició, es preveu assolir la fita dels 50.000 visitants, un nombre que reflecteix la consolidació del projecte cultural.

La regidora de Cultura, Lleure i Coneixement, Manuela Moya, subratlla que aquest èxit no és casual, sinó fruit d’un projecte sòlid que impulsa el turisme i l’economia local.

La Mediterrània com a fil conductor

La proposta artística aprofita el Mediterrani com a eix central per connectar Vila-seca amb un context més ampli, mostrant la seva riquesa cultural i històrica. Això fa que l’exposició sigui atractiva tant per visitants locals com per turistes que busquen una experiència cultural diferent.

La mostra, per tant, no només és un esdeveniment artístic, sinó un motor de dinamització per a la ciutat i la seva comarca.

Si no tens plans fins al 27 de setembre, la Mirada Mediterrània al Castell de Vila-seca és una excusa perfecta per descobrir art i història amb una perspectiva nova. I si no hi vas, no et queixis després que no t’ho vam dir.

El dia clau per a Valls i l’Alt Camp és el 22 d’abril. Aquell dimecres, la flama arribarà després de quilòmetres de complicitat, samarretes suades i converses improvisades a la carretera.

No és una cursa competitiva. No hi ha cronòmetre ni pòdium. És una cursa de relleus oberta a tothom, on l’únic objectiu és fer pinya i reivindicar la llengua mentre corres, camines o simplement hi ets.

Trams, carretera i gent: on cal sumar cames (i ganes)

Si hi ha una paraula que defineix aquesta edició és participació. L’organització fa una crida clara: cal gent als trams. No per quedar bé a la foto, sinó perquè sense relleus, això no avança.

Els punts més necessitats —els que demanen amor i cames— són:

• Alcover – La Selva del Camp

Són trams de carretera, dels que tenen més cotxes que stories d’Instagram, però també dels que fan territori de veritat. Aquí no hi ha filtres: hi ha asfalt, companyonia i aquella sensació de formar part d’alguna cosa que va més enllà d’un mateix.

Horaris, actes i logística: què passarà exactament a Valls

Per als que no corrin —o per als que prefereixen viure-ho amb calma— hi ha un moment clau: la rebuda de la flama. Serà a la plaça del Blat, epicentre emocional de la ciutat, a les 15:30 h.

Allà es farà un acte breu però simbòlic, amb la lectura del manifest. D’aquells moments que duren poc però que deixen pòsit, com un bon vermut de Reus.

Inscripcions i samarretes: el ritual abans de sortir a córrer

Apuntar-se és fàcil —i gairebé obligatori si tens mínim interès en dir “jo hi era”. Només cal omplir el formulari oficial:

Després, la logística arribarà per correu. Sí, com les coses importants de la vida moderna.

I si ets dels que necessiten outfit per motivar-se, hi ha samarretes oficials disponibles a La Bajoca (Carnisseria, 23). Horaris clars, estil directe:

• Dimarts a divendres: 9–14 h i 17–18:30 h
• Dissabtes: 9–14 h

Més que córrer: llengua, territori i una excusa per sortir de casa

Segons expliquen des de l’organització (abril 2026), l’objectiu és clar: “fer visible la llengua des del moviment”. No des del debat etern de Twitter, sinó des del gest simple de compartir un tram de carretera.

Entitats culturals de l’Alt Camp també ho tenen clar: cada edició suma més participants, amb un creixement sostingut respecte a anys anteriors. No és viral, però és constant —com les coses que realment funcionen.

Al final, el Correllengua no és només una activitat. És una d’aquelles excuses perfectes per fer comunitat sense haver de quedar per WhatsApp, per trepitjar territori i recordar que la llengua també es defensa amb sabatilles.

I aquest 22 d’abril, Valls torna a estar al mapa. No per un castell de deu pisos ni per una cua a la T-11, sinó per una flama que corre, literalment, entre persones.
